About a week and a half ago I went to visit my grandma's home town with my cousin Valerie. She used to live in Wisbech. I had such a great time there meeting cousins and uncles and seeing where she grew up. I will miss everyone there and the country lifestyle.
Last wednesday I went to Windsor Castle and Eton College. It was absolutely beautiful. I saw where King Henry the 8th was buried and Jane Seymore and then got to go through the different parts of the castle. It's huge! I was so excited to walk on the same land and castle that all the old kings and queens were at. We also saw the changing of the guard there.
This week I'm going to see Billy Elliot in theatre, and then go to Hampton Court and The Tower of London museum on Wednesday. Talk to you all soon.

Ireland
Haven't talked anyone on here in about two weeks! I am of course still having the time of my life here in Europe. Wednesday evening we left for Ireland. It's the most fun place in the world (besides London). We went to the Temple Bar, which is the most famous bar in Ireland, and then woke up the next morning for the St. Patrick's Day parade! I haven't seen so much green in my life! Good thing it's my favorite color :) We were all decked out in our green faces, shirts, eye shadow, hats, everything you could think of! We couldn't really see the parade because of the crowd, but just being in the atmosphere was great. Then we went to the closest bar and had our first beer of the day to celebrate! Everyone was crazy there...I guess words cannot express Ireland really. Me and my friends Michelle, Amanda, and Megan went on a carnival ride...we all probably looked like leprechauns up in the air hahaha.
Eventually, we went back to our hostile to get ready to go out again. We went to a pub/club and danced the night away with the Irish. They are probably the nicest people you will ever meet in your life. They are inviting and love talking to everyone! It made our time easy going and fun.
The next morning, we got on a bus and took about a 30 minute ride out into the country to see the scenery. It was absolutely beautiful. I ate my lunch beside a like with green mountains in the background. I would love to go back in the summer when all the trees are bloomed, but it was still pretty!
On our way back to the center of Dublin, we stopped at the Guinness Factory. I don't like Guinness, so it wasn't that interesting for me. But at the end of the tour, which is at the top of a building, you can get a free beer and then see all of Dublin from really high up. It was relaxing and fun listening to the Irish music.
And again we went back to the hostile to get ready to go out again! This time we went to a local Irish Pub and had the biggest meals of our lives. I didn't stay out too late because I was exhausted.
We left this morning around 11:30, but we got up early enough to go buy souvenirs.
Now I'm back in my flat in London, and I can't say that I can complain! It's like taking a vacation while already on vacation. Finals week is coming up though, so I guess I will have to spare a few nights of going out to stay in and do homework.

I keep trying to post pictures...but it's freezing and takes about 2 hours to upload 20 pictures. I am going to try and figure something out, but until then sorry about not having them!!!!

Wednesday Trip
Tomorrow we all leave for Liverpool and Manchester! We are staying in a hostel tomorrow night with our professors. I am excited, but I don't really know what to expect. I know the Titanic was built there and the two football teams are huge rivals. So I know we will have fun, but know one really knows what we will be doing there. I will try to write on here when I get home, but Friday morning I am going to meet Valerie in Wisbech (Where my grandma is from). I am so excited, we have so much planned to see and do! Talk to you soon.

Update!
Hi everyone! It's been a week since I've written on here, sorry about that! A recap of last week; Monday I went to Philippa's house for dinner and then to the Tower of London at night. Wednesday we went to Hampstead Park. I absolutely loved it there! It was out in the open with beautiful trees and Philippa made us a picnic. After lunch, we all played games. A few of us split up and played capture the flag out in the woods. It was so funny. My one friend almost got ran over by a great dane, we all laughed until we almost cried! We got tired after a bit, so we walked back up the hill and played cricket with the other students and Philippa. Even though we were all muddy and dirty, I will never forgot the feeling of being a ten year old kid wishing to be in England....and here I am now playing outside on this beautiful land in England. It's funny how the things you are most determined for can happen for you if you work hard enough. I would tell the little girl I used to be that things will work out, don't give up your dreams.
Aside from that, we had class Thursday morning like we usually do. It was rather boring. We completely ready to get out of class because me and Amanda made plans to go shopping to find dresses to wear to our friends 21st birthday celebration. Friday night, we went to a club called The Egg. It seemed to be cool and have great potential for a club, but not many people were there, and the music wasn't really dancing music. We left around midnight and came back home to sleep. The next day was a lazy day for me. I slept in till about noon, and then got up and ate an apple with peanut butter. (I am trying to eat healthier) I guess we will see how this works. I rested my whole day because I knew the nights festivities would be crazy! We started getting ready around 4pm and wanted to leave at 7:30pm. We went over to flat 3 and started pre gaming for the night. Everyone looked so cute and the guys dressed up well! Then, we were on our way to make Matt's celebration at the KoKo in credible. The club itself should have it's own blog. It was so amazing and huge and the colors and setting, were all just so pretty and inviting. The crowds all swarmed together on the dance floor. Then other people would make their ways up into the balconies and dance and drink. It felt so surreal to be there living MY life. You hear of people doing all of the amazing things. So while dancing, i stopped, and thought...."wow. I am really here in London, England dancing at the most amazing dance club known to the world! and well yeah that's when I completely fell in love with London. That one moment. And then like most fairy tale endings end....balloons starting falling down from the ceiling onto us all dancing. So there you have it....I am still in love with London. :)
MISS YOU ALL AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN ONE MONTH! HOPE YOU'RE DOING WELL LIKE I AM! LOVE YOU ALL.

Back in London
While Venice was absolutely beautiful, I am so happy to be back here in London. It's nice to be in an area where I feel comfortable and know where I'm going! Italy was everything I hoped for. There was so many memories made there and so much history that I got to see. Friday and Sat. we all went out to a pub and had fun, and then of course got to sleep in for the first time in about a week and a half. For me, that's a long time! I feel pretty rested now. Tonight, me and six others went of to my professor Philippa's house and made dinner with her. It was so much fun to just get to know her better. We made lasagna and a few other things, but being the picky eater I am, I just stuck with the lasagna. She is such an interesting and smart lady. She knows everything, I mean everything, about english history. Hopefully one day I will too! :)
After dinner, we got on the tube and went to the London Tower to go on a tour of how the guards lock up the palace. It was awesome! I was so excited to be there, even though it was kind of creepy at night. Philippa is going to take us in early March again and show us the inside and the crown jewels.
I think me and a few other girls are planning on going to the London Zoo on Friday. I can't wait! :)

Florence
Oh, Florence. This city trip didn't start off so well. We got to our hostile, and no one was there to let us in. When we finally buzzed until another resident let us in, we couldn't get into our rooms because there was no reception like it was described on the website. We sat on the creepy stairs inside with walls of stone. While sitting there, the lights go out. It was pitch black and we were all scared. They eventually came back on after about 15 minutes, and then we decided we should try and call someone to let us in. The guy answered and said he couldn't let us in until 10AM the next morning, but we argued with him saying we booked for tonight. After getting in the room, everything seemed fine. Then, a nasty smell filled the room. Our septic tank in the bathroom was clogged. It's a little tough to breath, but we all have had to get used to it. Thankfully, this is our last night here.
Although there were some problems, Florence is a wonderful city. The shopping and buildings are amazing and the people are pretty nice. We found a great pizza place and the bartender gives us free shots. Nothing bad about that! ha. Today we went to a cafe we found the other day and had pancakes. It would be the best if we had a place like that in Indiana! We went to an art museum, and then some of us split up to go see the statue of David. It's 524 cm tall, and is absolutely breathtaking. He stand tall above you on a platform with a dome above him and lights shining down. I still have to pinch myself to realize that I am seeing everything that I have. This whole experience has made me more determined to do well in school and just life in general. I want to come back to these places so bad in the future. I want a good job so I can bring my parents here and show them everything that I have been so blessed to see. It's my last night here in Florence, and although my real family isn't here, I can say that the people I am with are a new set of family that I love so much. I have about 150 pictures to upload, so be patient until they upload! Take care.

Rome
Last Thursday I left for Rome with all my friends. We got there at night and took a taxi back to our hostile. Our taxi driver drove super fast in between cars, we were all laughing so hard. He didn't speak english, so he didn't know what we were saying or laughing at haha. Our hostile was called the Ivanhoe, and our rooms at 12 beds in them. There are 10 of us total so we didn't know the other two people we would be rooming with. One night they were both guys from the states. The second night they were to people from Spain. It was a fun place with a lot of students studying abroad, so we all hung-out in the lobby and kitchen. Rome was beautiful...as you would expect. Our first day we went to the Colosseum. It was my favorite part about Italy. For lunch we got a pizza and then sat down at a fountain to eat. The sky was so blue and clear and about 60 degrees outside. It was so relaxing to just sit there in the sun and listen to a small band play music for everyone. It was unreal. We also got gelato...which is ice cream. I can't explain to you how delicious it was!
The next thing we did was go to Vatican City and to see the Sistine Chapel. The inside was so pretty and full of paintings. We also so Michealangelo's famous paintings on the ceilings and walls. Beside it was St. Paul's Cathedral. The inside was like nothing I have ever seen before. The artwork and gold all on the walls was a lot to take in. We all went into the praying area and said a prayer, then left to go on our next journey. As the sun was beginning to set, we walked up a steep hill to see the view. We got to the top and stood there to take everything in. It's a moment I will never forget. We opened a few bottles of wine and champagne and all sat down together until the sky was dark. It's something that only me and the people here with me will remember. I can explain in to all of you, but when me and my new family here are 60 years old, we will always have the same memories and be able to go back and know exactly what we are talking about. I love everyone here. My friend the other night said a toast to us all. It was "We came here as strangers and turned into best friends, we became best friends then turned into family." You can't say it much better then that. Later that night after watching the sun set over Rome, we found Trevy fountain. Since it's tradition there, we all through a coin in the fountain and wished for something.
Our last night was pretty crazy. We went to a square with a giant fountain where students all went to drink and hangout. We met some girls from Connecticut and New York. It's awesome that you meet people from pretty much the same places.
I loved Rome so much. It's the most beautiful city with so many things to do and see. I wish we were there longer, but there are other places that we need to see in Italy! Love you all.
